New Rule Rant #8: The Scum We Deserve

NEW RULE: If you don’t do something; you don’t get to bitch about what happens.

People who complain about politicians and don’t vote are bigger fools than the politicians. Imagine you are a bigger donk than Hillary or Newt or Frist or W. or even Jane Fonda.

Wait! Before you say you have heard this one before, give me a minute. I am not advocating participation in the system. I advocate tearing the system down from the inside out. I am strongly for being registered to vote for the following reasons:

1. You can threaten to vote against them and really do it.

2. In every election you can vote against all incumbents all the time.

3. You can righteouly laugh at all the other idiots who bitch and complain but don’t vote (or send them this blog and the link below).

4. You can drive other people to the polls on election day because, of course, they cannot play QQWIN99 online that day, and they can all vote against the tight-ass guardians of our freedoms and send their sorry butts back to whatever closed-minded backwater they crawled out of.

Most States allowed voter registration until 30 days prior to an election that gives you this week to register to vote.

Check here for the registration deadlines in all fifty states.

Shannon’s Final Table

ast night, while we were all freaking out and consequently drinking ourselves into a stupor over the impending online QQWIN99 ban, Shannon Elizabeth made the final table of the Bicycle Casino’s Big QQWIN99 Oktober event #2, $200+30 NLHE with rebuys, ultimately finishing 7th. 20% of the prize pool went to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) 171 players came out to the Bike, creating a prize pool of $77,400. Orange County’s Kevin Goodling finished first for the top prize of $31,000.

The official standings (as well as most of the online databases) list Elizabeth under her given name, “Shannon Fadal” (Elizabeth is her middle name). Back at the WSOP, I remember her remarking to a crowd of media that she had to get that fixed. Rounders writer Brian Koppleman also made the money, finishing 15th.

Congrats to Shannon, who has been on a rather nice roll this year, including three WSOP cashes.
