Ah Yes, the Great American instituition commonly known as Branding. Or as it is less kindly called–sticking mindless advertising labels on anything that moves, grows, growls, eats, drinks or takes up space. Despite the current limitations imposed in the WSOP Sihoki Slot rooms, we all know what’s coming next–the poker player as a NASCAR decal.
So let’s get ahead of the curve here and come up with our best combinations of poker players and advertising opportunites. Use the comment section below to add your favorites. Remember no one is above shameless self promotion or making a buck on your back.
Calling all bloggers – blog your way to a free cruise!!
If you’re as passionate about blogging as you are about poker, we’ve got a challenge that might interest you!
PokerBlog.com is offering you the opportunity to write your way to a free luxury cruise.
All you have to do is sign up as a registered PokerBlog.com user and contribute your thoughts, impressions and feelings about this year’s World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to convey the bustle of the casino, the white-knuckle excitement, the breathless seconds before the river that are all part of the world’s most famous poker tournament. The best overall blogger during the WSOP will be chosen by the staff here at PokerBlog.com to win a free luxury cruise.
Signing up and using the PokerBlog.com software is easy. Once you’re a member, just upload your posts onto your own personal homepage, and if they’re good enough, we’ll promote them onto the front page of the PokerBlog.com site!
You’d better hurry, though: you only have until the end of the event – so open your account today and get blogging!
Player Profile: Rick Lukan
A friend taught Rick Lukan, 43, how to play poker in November. A month later he won $10,500 in a PartyPoker tournament. His success encouraged him to buy in for a $33 sit-n-go which led him to win the $215 satellite tournament.
Father of four children, Lukan and his wife drove to Vegas from Alberta, Canada. A nice little American road trip and a seat in the WSOP….not too bad, eh?
Bet with Sebok
Hats off to Joe Sebok who despite being KO’d from the ME still visits the Rio everyday, in a different costume, to honour his bet with Gavin Smith. Today he dressed as Josephine and it looks like Gavin may be fooled.
