Tournament Series Final Table June 3rd 2008

45 players turned out to fight for a spot in the Bodog Blogger Tournament of Champions.

Play was tight early into the night and then finally loosened up after the 1st break. Several players straddled the bubble of the top 18 players in this series while attempting to also collect a bounty of T$270 placed on the head of the blogger tournament host, $mokkee.

    Final Table Players and Payouts

    1. $mokkee – $180.00 + T$109

    2. wilwonka – $108.00 + T$109

    3. MiamiDon – $72.00 + T$109

    4. Bayne_S – $54.00 + T$109

    5. garycarson – $36.00 + T$109

With the bounty on his head, $mokkee fought his way through to the final table sitting on nice stack. He made it into the top 5 payouts and doubled up through Bayne_S, who tried to crack $mokkee’s QQ with a 6-9 off suit.

It then became a 3-handed game, where MiamiDon took a shot at knocking $mokkee out with a K9 sOOted. $mokkee then open shoved every hand into wilwonka.

wilwonka finally called with KJo, but $mokkee’s monster Q5 sOOted hit the river and a well deserved victory went to our tournament series host who now sits comfortably in 2nd place on the tournament leaderboard.

Not only does $mokkee take home this week’s first place winnings, but the T$270 bounty as well! GG $mokkee!

The final 18 poker bloggers who will be playing in the TOC are:

    Player Profile: Rick Lukan

A friend taught Rick Lukan, 43, how to play poker in November. A month later he won $10,500 in a PartyPoker tournament. His success encouraged him to buy in for a $33 sit-n-go which led him to win the $215 satellite tournament.

Father of four children, Lukan and his wife drove to Vegas from Alberta, Canada. A nice little American road trip and a seat in the WSOP….not too bad, eh?

  • Free Gambling Tips – Winning Method for judi dadu online Bingo

Let me say at the very start . . . it is my own sincere opinion that when one sticks to tested rules, one’s chances of winning more or less consistently is by far the most sensible procedure. On the other hand, BINGO is a game of Chance, and one’s luck (and streaks of luck) can be greatly IMPROVED by following a good set of rules. I think THIS is the best ever. I’m confident no one has ever worked out a method to win EACH game one plays (regardless how many cards they may buy.) With THIS method I have worked out, one should WIN a lot more frequently than NOT using it.

Having owned one of the largest professional Bingo game sets made, and having made a careful study of each dadu online terpercaya move and “call”, I find out some numbers are hardly ever called. So I don’t pick out (or accept) cards with those numbers on them. The law of AVERAGES indicates most numbers ought to be called three or more times in an evening . . . yet time and time again . . . ALL are NOT.

Whenever possible, attend Bingo games where you may select your own cards. That’s the FIRST and one of the most important rules.

Take the letter B: Favor the first TEN (10) numbers. AVOID higher numbers.

The letter I: You’ll most likely find it pays best to favor 19 through and including 29. DON’T take numbers LOWER than 19, if possible, especially if lower than 14.

Letter N: Favor a card with the numbers 29 to 39 on it. AVOID all number 40’s. This way you also get the FREE space, (center).

Now the G: Favor OVER 49, up.

    Under O, favor 60 through 68, inclusive, or 70 O.K., with NONE over 71.

SAME RULES APPLY regardless what specific type of BINGO rule it may be – Such as a four corner win – or in attempting to cover ALL spaces. Pay Attention to the “calls” at all times. When you “miss” a call because you were NOT paying attention – it GREATLY reduces your win chances.

DON’T BUY MORE CARDS THAN YOU KNOW (from past games) you can handle efficiently, even when offered at LOWER cost – stick to the RULES, always. DON’T PLAY at all if you can not get a seat near enough to the “caller” to hear with EASE every number called. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

You should find this method will surprise you on the hardest BINGO game to play – where ALL NUMBERS MUST BE COVERED. You’ll find frequently this is the game where the most valuable and sizeable prizes are given. With this proven method you should get more than your just share. NOW, follow these rules, and you ought to find you will win judi dadu online far more frequently than you ever did before. Don’t play feeling you ought to ALWAYS win. Instead, study these rules, use them, and play to GET REAL RELAXATION instead – and, you’ll really ENJOY the game.

There are many vibrant colors in each pair of elephant pants making it virtually impossible to not find a top that suits it well. When finding coinciding tops and accessories it is best to focus on what is not so overwhelming to the eye. The focal point of the outfit should be the pants since they are the most vibrant in color and explode with detailed designs. Choose a top that is a solid color with no added patterns to avoid clashing. Black tends to be a sturdy choice as it will complement just about anything that you add it to. Find jewelry and accessories that are also of one color, but more specifically one of the least noticeable colors in the pants. This will tie the ensemble together into one beautiful, collective collaboration. Their comfort allows you to wear them as lounge pants, and their beauty encourages you to wear them for your next evening outing. • RE: RE: New Math in Tahoe

LAKE TAHOE, NV–Oooh! We’re down to five players here at the slot gacor Circuit main event (7-foot poker player Randy Gil has surrendered the chip lead to Darrell Steed Jerry Renfroe) and we just had a chip-count discrepancy! After a break, there were apparently 1,275,000 in play. Poker is so fun, especially when tourney officials are scared!

The problem was noticed by Kaeline from PokerPages (whom Harrah’s has presented a $50 Starbuck’s card for her assistance, even though the casino Starbuck’s is currently unable slot gacor to accept gift cards). TD Jack Effel disputed her claim, saying there would only be an extra 500 in play … to which Kaeline said no, because if his round-up explanation were valid, it would be an extra 1,000. (Because the 500s were just taken out of play.)

    Watch 60 Minutes Tonight

LAKE TAHOE, NV–For anyone who has a stake in the future of online gaming in America, they may want to watch 60 Minutes tonight … they’re doing a story on the proposed Internet Gambling Prohibition Act.

UPDATE: Apparently it has already aired in the non-Pacific time zones. Did anyone out there see it?

    Quickest Tournament Ever

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ—We’re done for the day here at the WPT Borgata Poker Open. The tournament wound down to 27 players (the predetermined finishing point for Day 3) when Chris Bell eliminated Russell Rossenblum.

Notables who remain: Barry Greenstein (19th chip position), John Phan (17th), David Tran (15th), David Sklansky (11th) and Jennifer Tilly (4th).

Speaking of poker, I’ll be playing in the $500 NL event tomorrow (and, naturally, blogging about it). Anyone who wants a piece of my action should send word immediately.

Hit the Road / Welcome, Bill

The good thing is that companies are starting to recognize the value of bloggers. The bad thing is that that means some of us actually have to work. Now “longtime” pokerbloggy great Bill Rini (one of my favorites), who helped develop Full Tilt’s Mac software, has been recruited by the Good Guys at PartyPoker. Fantastic.

My only bummer is that whatever contract he signed didn’t force him to blog here at PokerBlog. I tried to use all my clout to make that happen, but a) I don’t have any; and b) the top Party dogs said then we’d have no room for Dr. Tim. Anyhow, here is the email that Bill sent out today explaining his situation:

    RE: New Math in Tahoe

LAKE TAHOE, NV–By the way, Tim and Amy, I inquired how chip counts were being handled differently … because indeed, WSOP tourney officials all acknowledged this was a big issue now. (Kudos to our PokerBloggers looking to keep the game honest!) But I couldn’t get a definitive answer on procedural differences.

I’m still trying to get an official word, but so far the best I have gotten is, “we’re being very careful.”

So what does that mean? Well, they have been doing the chip-ups with players at the table, and a dealer at the table, and another tourney official looming behind … not watching every move or counting every stack, but letting everyone know he is there. After that, Harrah’s suits are doublechecking against the manual chip counts performed by Kaelaine from PokerPages.

As Tim points out below, it’s working fine here at this main event … but again, there’s a big difference between goind through this process at a couple tables and more than 100 tables.

  • A different viewpoint from a progressive state

North Dakota State Rep. Jim Kasper says his fellow Republicans “just don’t get it” when it comes to Internet gambling.

Kasper calls the proposal “ridiculous” by Rep. Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) that Frist wants to tack onto a defense bill to ban online gambling to pass in the waning days of the 109th Congress.

“The people of our nation want to do what they want to do in the privacy of their living rooms,” Kasper told internetnews.com.

Contrary to the intent of his national party leaders, North Dakota will become a safe harbor for Internet poker players worldwide if Kasper has his way.

Kasper plans to introduce bills in the next session of the North Dakota legislature legalizing Internet slot gacor for online casinos that will bring their software, hardware and employees to North Dakota.

That move has been tried before in the state and passed the House, while being trumped in the Senate. Of course, even if that were to become law in the frozen tundra of North Dakota it doesn’t do the rest of us online poker playing Americans any good unless we wanted to move there. Any takers?

A picture is worth 1,000 words (or at least two)

LAKE TAHOE, NV–The hotel Jen had some trouble checking into was, of course, Harrah’s Atlantic City. Made me think of this photo she recently took, which really speaks for itself in so many ways (particularly since they are charging $2 a bottle for one of these at the Starbuck’s here):

I wasn’t even gone that long

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ–Took me less than an hour to get Jen from the airport, drop her off at Harrah’s and make it back here to the Borgata. I may as well have been away for days. We’re in the money now, but Mark Seif and Ariel Schneller aren’t. They’re both gone.

Seif got busted by Jennifer Tilly. Schneller was sent home by Chad Brown (can’t wait to see his picture from that). Schneller, you may remember, was the chip leader. Then he became the bubble boy. Bad hour for him.

On another note, Jen is having difficulties checking in. They may have lost her reservation, which means that she may have to stay in my room. I’m just sayin’.

(Dan is fucking pissed really thrilled.)

UPDATE: Jen is all checked in. Also, Schneller is over here calling himself a donkey for losing the chip lead for “the fifth time” in his life.

“But now I’m a nobody for one more tournament,” Schneller says.

I’d feel bad for him, but the kid is a total shit talker. First he said that “celebrity players” called him “the best they’d ever seen.” Then, and much worse, he started ripping the Eagles, in Jersey, while they’re winning.

I say enjoy the rail, Ivy League boy.

At LasVegasVegas, Every Picture Tells a Story

If you’ve never checked out LasVegasVegas.com, you’re missing out on one of the best blogs for Vegas poker action – and some of the best pictures in the biz. Whether it’s players or Vegas venues, Flipchipro is the right man behind the camera.

Relative to our articles, many people have speculated that an error in color-up would have been noticed. This is where I think LasVegasVegas’ pictures tell the story. Although this picture is of a color-up at the final table (and not the problematic Day Seven color-up), look at the action: all officials and no players.

Poker Shrink has talked to a couple of the WSOP final table players. To the best of their recollection, they (and the vast majority of the Day Seven players) were not at the tables during the ill-fated $5K color-up.

WPT Borgata Poker Open, Day 3

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ–Good morning. Fewer than 60 people remain. Last night, before I went home, Erick Lindgren and Men The Master busted. Notable names who survived to play today include Jennifer Tilly, Kathy Liebert, John Phan, Barry Greenstein, David Sklansky, Chad Brown and Mark Seif.

The chip leader (though not by much) is a kid who just graduated from Yale named Ariel Schneller. He cashed twice at this year’s WSOP.

Concerning PokerBlog related news, Jen Browning has made it to Cincinnati, and is on her way here (after stops in Reno, LA and Atlanta). She’s even on schedule, and her bags (she thinks) are on-board.

Amazing. The odds on that trip actually working out are incalculable. (See Chad Brown’s reaction to the news, at right. Picture courtesy of PokerBlog friend Nick Valintone.)

  • What’s Wrong with Situs Judi Online on Television?

If you are reading this article, you are not the audience that television executives and advertisers are seeking to grab with their Situs Judi Online programming. If you are interested enough in Situs Judi Online to be on this web page, you are part of the royal Situs Judi Online family and you are going to watch Situs Judi Online on television. But television needs viewers to be attracted to a program who are generally not Situs Judi Online players and certainly not Situs Judi Online blog readers. And despite all the noize on various Situs Judi Online forums, the viewer numbers for televised Situs Judi Online are down and down even more among the “sports” viewers who buy beer and sign-up for online Situs Judi Online sites. The Game Show Network is about to dump the World Situs Judi Online Tour; the World Series has had to try moving the Main Event final table to November; if you can’t see the writing on the screen, then you could be related to an ostrich.

So, what is wrong with Situs Judi Online on television?

None of the shows have changed to keep up with their audience. Viewer retention has not been given any perceivable thought that I can see. Viewers actually do learn how the game Situs Judi Online is played and they find the same simple action played over and over gain to be boring. “We” who know and study the game can glean more from the hands and are not so easily turned off by the stale presentation but, again, “We” are not the audience the programs are after. Here are some obvious examples:

World Situs Judi Online Tour: At first the simulated live format attracted viewers but anyone paying attention will soon catch on that many hands are being left out. More importantly, in this respect WPT is the main offender, there are some great storylines at those six player final tables but instead of following them and developing them; we get Vince talking over the players. I wrote about one instance of this at the Bellagio Cup last year. Mike Matusow had a running conversation about the beauty of true deep stack Situs Judi Online. Every other player at the table was in the conversation at one time or another and still Mike Sexton and Vince never mentioned it. Clearly a production decision not to include the players in the show.

At the WPT tapings they have an entrance room with a bar and the direct feed from the table. You hear everything the players say and nothing Mike or Vince says. Back in the days when I covered WPT final tables for Situs Judi OnlinePages, I never sat in media row, you couldn’t hear the players from there. I hung out in the room where I got the table feed. The “real stories” of the WPT final tables are told by the players but the WPT television show has never once delivered that story. A story, I believe, that would capture and grow a television audience.

The World Series of Situs Judi Online and ESPN have also found a way to turn the 55 event WSOP into tedious television. First, while I cannot stand Norman Chad, he is good for the audience they need to attract, so what “We” say about Norman should not matter. But ESPN does not cover 55 events. This year they are coming in at the beginning of the Series to catch a few events (1, 2, 3 or 4 & 5); they will be back around the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. tournament (events 45 & 50) and then again back for the Main Event. So if Phil or Doyle or Johnny or Mike or Daniel makes a final table, we have a 1 in 7 chance of ever seeing it. They choose which events to cover before the Series begins. They did not cover Phil Hellmuth’s 11th bracelet last summer because it was not on the schedule. They do cover final tables with no name players and nine silent amateurs because it is on the schedule. Surprisingly what ESPN seems not to understand is that this is television. You need conversation and animation from the players; otherwise you might as well show hockey or horseshoes.

The WSOPE tournaments were even worse but this was their first year, so they get some credit for start-up blues. Still, more international players need to be identified and followed early in those events. Hire some “player spotters” from countries other than the UK.

Let’s group all of the other “invitation only” shows together. What they lack is just more of what the WPT and WSOP telecasts lack. For example:

-If someone is a great Situs Judi Online player but never speaks at the table, then you do not invite them to play. This is a television show. Invite: Phil and Mike and Daniel and the other Phil (Laak not Ivey) and every other player who “gets” it that they are Situs Judi Online players but also entertainers and if you can’t do both–stay home!

Next, if you are going to edit, you have to let the audience know. There is a show out there, where Phil Hellmuth has the button on the first hand and the announcers explain the button and the blinds naming the players who have each position in the first hand. On the very next hand (on the show that is) Phil has the button again and on the third hand he has the big blind. Do you think this might confuse the audience you are seeking to win over?

tv2For several years the late night Situs Judi Online shows in the UK seemed to understand the line between entertaining and playing Situs Judi Online but alas on recent viewing they too have fallen into the same boring patterns. Situs Judi Online is not a perfect fit for television. Hockey doesn’t make it because there is not enough scoring. The phenomenon of NASCAR is based partially on the potential for injury and death. Maybe Situs Judi Online needs a big guy with a baseball bat to administer a real “bad beat” when your aces get cracked.

Or just maybe some fresh eyes and fresh minds in the production booth.

  • New Rule Rant #8: The Scum We Deserve

NEW RULE: If you don’t do something; you don’t get to bitch about what happens.

People who complain about politicians and don’t vote are bigger fools than the politicians. Imagine you are a bigger donk than Hillary or Newt or Frist or W. or even Jane Fonda.

Wait! Before you say you have heard this one before, give me a minute. I am not advocating participation in the system. I advocate tearing the system down from the inside out. I am strongly for being registered to vote for the following reasons:

    1. You can threaten to vote against them and really do it.

    2. In every election you can vote against all incumbents all the time.

    3. You can righteouly laugh at all the other idiots who bitch and complain but don’t vote (or send them this blog and the link below).

    4. You can drive other people to the polls on election day because, of course, they cannot play QQWIN99 online that day, and they can all vote against the tight-ass guardians of our freedoms and send their sorry butts back to whatever closed-minded backwater they crawled out of.

Most States allowed voter registration until 30 days prior to an election that gives you this week to register to vote.

Check here for the registration deadlines in all fifty states.

    Shannon’s Final Table

ast night, while we were all freaking out and consequently drinking ourselves into a stupor over the impending online QQWIN99 ban, Shannon Elizabeth made the final table of the Bicycle Casino’s Big QQWIN99 Oktober event #2, $200+30 NLHE with rebuys, ultimately finishing 7th. 20% of the prize pool went to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) 171 players came out to the Bike, creating a prize pool of $77,400. Orange County’s Kevin Goodling finished first for the top prize of $31,000.

The official standings (as well as most of the online databases) list Elizabeth under her given name, “Shannon Fadal” (Elizabeth is her middle name).
